DIY Vitamin C Face Mask
This recipe came from one of our great staff, Christina (well, they are all great). She makes and uses this mask all the time. Christina says it leaves her skin smoother, evens tone, reduces acne and brightens with only 4 simple ingredients.
- ¼ tsp pure Aloe Vera Gel (or water)
- ½ tsp Organic Honey (Christina prefers Manuka Honey)
- ½ tsp Vitamin C Crystals*
- 4 drops of Rose Hip Seed Oil
Combine all ingredients. First cleanse face with warm water to open your pores then pat dry. Christina recommends a face steam prior to applying the mask, but this step is optional. Using your finger tips, apply the mixture in a circular motion until face is covered. Leave on for 5-10 minutes and wash off with a face cloth. Tone and moisturize as you would normally do.
Vitamin C brightens, removes dead skin cells and balances uneven tone.
Honey has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, absorbs impurities, soothes and softens.
Aloe is hydrating, healing and can help reduce acne and scarring.
Rose Hip Oil helps rejuvenate, moisturize, helps prevent aging, scarring and acts as an anti-inflammatory.
*If you have a sensitivity to Vitamin C, you can substitute half or more of the recommended amount with either more honey or sugar
